Paskali faces a unique set of challenges in his life.  Not only does he come from a very poor family, but he is also mentally disabled.  The rural areas of Tanzania, including Gorfan, have no community resources to help children with disabilities, so Paskali is not even able to attend school.  Instead, he has found support at the New Smile Center which he attends on a daily basis.
